Need a .308

The Robinson Arms XCR-M is the closest you would probably get to "looks like an AR-15"... like this.

Once it does actually look like an AR-15 it becomes restricted and you can't hunt with it ... like this.

Even if it was made for that purpose ... like this.

There is also the Kel Tec RFB ... like this.

If that's "looks like an AR-15" to you.

Your info is "old" news. There is something new that is VERY ARish, accurate and NON RESTRICTED now available.

these many look cool to some folks and they do have their place, but I'd not feel right being seen out there "hunting" with one of these rifles. Sorry if my opinion doesn't agree with you.

And you don't have to hunt one with. Why you wouldn't want to be seen out there hunting with a rifle that is perfect for the job is beyond me but oh well. I don't know why some people feel an ar is not good for hunting, it fires a bullet, has sights, is accurate lightand easy to carry. Ah well guess granddaddys ol 3030 is the only "real" deer gun out there :s

And yeah, your opinion is certainly not going to jive because its ridiculous

LOL.....I tried googling some pictures of an m1a1 and I got photos of a tank....not the most efficient deer hunting gun...but probably works...:)

make sure to google springfield m1a1. Its the civilian version of the m14. For a cheaper version, there is always the chinese Norinco m305 which is the "cheap" version of the m1a1. For these rifles, tactical stock options you have the sage EBR, M14.ca blackfeather, Troy Industries chassis and prob a few more that I cant think of.

Does really look "AR" ish but definately tactical looking and 308. ACR is not a good hunting rig as its only 223/556

I tend to agree with you here two-dogs. It is just asking for trouble. Just try to convince a LEO or Wildlife officer that this authentic looking AR is NON-RESTRICTED. It doesn't matter that it is. You are just going to get it taken and hauled off. Then they'll just say later that they "didn't get the memo" about the gun.

FRT number: check
5-round PMAG: check
Balls: check

I go hunting with a non-restricted black rifle on occasion with no worries. Perhaps I will even have an ATRS black rifle (v2) in .308 or 7mm-08 for fall 2015.

I like the ergonomics of a modern rifle - don't really care how it looks.

buy two a tacticool for the range and a solid bolt for hunting. I am a average shot and always out shot the tactical guys at 300 plus yards always. if you cant afford two right now just get the bolt. In your whole lifetime of hunting it saves one deer from being wounded and getting away its worth it. just my two cents

How straight do those shoot? They are kind of neat.

Can't complain, sighted it in and today returned to check zero

It hit where I was aiming on rective targets(full coke cans)

I am a hunter not a bench shooter so can't show you groups but am fully confident in its accuracy

So in case anyone cares, I bought the xcr-m. I tried the people in Alberta but they were out of stock till February so I bought the American gun. Has not come in the mail yet and have not shot it but will report back when I do.
