As a PSA to all those who don't want to go through the thread, the OP posted pictures midway down on Page 9 ... and it seems most are in agreement that it looks like some serious wear.
 
I really hate these type of whinny posts....did the OP buy his NEW sig at a reduced price because it was a floor model and then have a little temper tantrum because it has a wee bit of wear?

If you've ever been there you'd know this is par for the course for Wild West. They don't give a flying you know what. If you get someone to give you the time of day to look at guns in that place you're lucky, and even then you're probably going to get some eye rolls for every second you spend in the store without spending money. They have bar none, the biggest attitude in the business. And the biggest prices to go along with it.

Like others have pointed out, they make their money charging $35 a box for 9mm that's been reloaded 85 times to tourists. And selling bombed out range guns to unsuspecting suckers.

Good thing they have apologists like hawk-i ^ to show up two days late and a few dollars short to call people who stand up for themselves whiners, or accuse them of having a temper tantrum. I really hate those kind of smug lazy posts. Did hawk-i read the first page then decide to have a little temper tantrum?

What!?!? How is being upset at being ripped off by getting a shopworn floor model after you bought "new" whiney? (BTW Whinny is what a horse does)

He didn't bother to read the thread or see the OP's pics.

You see, that's the secret of a high post count warrior. Posting fast without taking time to read or think before speaking. Maybe the whinny is because he's a bit of a neigh sayer.

Grow up....if I have a problem with a business or a deal I made the last thing I would do is come on here an post it....if you don't like a business or its practices, boycott it....or take up the matter in small claims court.
And then if you win your small claims court, then post the TRUE STORY and OUTCOME! otherwise IMHO its just hearsay whining. I don't know the OP at all, why should I believe he is truthful with the story and pics? Does he work for a competative store, is he a disgruntled worker, are there unknown social ties, questions, questions questions?????
But by all means.....jump on the OP's bandwagon if you want and carry on!!!!
 
This was a public service to warn others about being burned.i would hate it if it happened to me. The op tried dealing with the company before posting so I respect his opinion
 
Wild West sucks. Went there years ago to buy an 858. Was ignored for awhile because I wasn't spending a fortune to shoot their crap. When someone did ask me what I wanted, I couldn't buy it because I didn't have my range membership on me! I said " it's not restricted!" She said " store policy is a range membership is needed for any firearm sale." So I left and haven't been back since.

You sound like you have more of an agenda than anyone. You sure you don't work for wild west? Because it sounds like you'd better be on the payroll for loyalty like that.

The OP posted his evidence and delivered while they stay silent, They can come in any time and clear it up if it's not true can't they? That's what a gun community is supposed to be for. Gun owners supporting each other, not being smug apologist know it all's. I for one appreciate when people put info out there about places to avoid. And I like to see what kind of character the shop has in dealing with problems. In this case, they seem to be a no show.

I have had the same issue with Gun Dealer few years ago, i paid for the return shipping, about 80$ for a 2200$ firearm. they sold me a fired firearm for a new one. This kind of situation, is so frustrating, thanks to tell us this issue , this is a great service to the firearm community.
 
Just to clarify something... if we were to testify in court based on what we have read or heard it is hearsay
This is the op's first hand account of the goings on which would be classified as testimony... i am not a lawyer but i have watched one on tv.

OP had a valid concern and felt like voicing it on the forum whether its a conspiracy or not who knows just take it with a grain of salt and be forewarned.

no i ws told the gun was bnib and never told or offered anything about it being a floor gun...


And for everyones information i have now had no response privately email or otherwise from wild west in 6 days.

Did you even bother to read the first post in this thread? Or do you make habit of just reading the title and then throwing your two cents in.

Normally I would just smile at a post like this and move on. I have nothing informative to add. I have no wisdom that may help. But it feels right to post to get my count up. I tried to buy a gun there but I couldn't convince the ladies to talk to me. And I have a very handsome smile just like Turkinator's horse.
 
So it's better that no one knows that a business isn't good to deal with? It's better that other people continue to spend their money and support that business? Going to court takes time and isn't a small undertaking even if it is just small claims. I've had issues with dealers that I've tried to solve between just them and I but when they ignored me I went here. It's a easy way to get a business to stop ignoring you and resolve a problem. It also takes a lot less time then going to court.
 
Just to add my 2 cents. I bought my DDM4v7 there and I had excellent service. They had the best price as well. Now that's the only thing I bought there so take as you want. Dealing in person is very different than dealing online. Online still makes me nervous every time. It's a leap of faith.
