XCR 10000 round range report **pic heavy** and long winded...

I just got mine a couple of month ago and am loving it!
9x's report tells me I will be loving it for a long time which is GREAT

About 1,000 rounds thru it so far in .223
Waiting for conversion kit to x39 from wolverine they say should be here next week!!

Says what? I didn't know about the x39 light barrel. I've thought of having my barrel turned, between the gas block and the brake. I don't know I'd drop enough weight to make it worth doing though.

Enjoy the gun. How many mags? Tell me you got the 10 pack :).

Nice setup Darren. I'm on the fence with white, but might ask to trade you in six months or so....

Ya, white was the only color they had in stock when I ordered but it is kinda growing on me.

I didn't get the 10 pack. I have to save some money for ammo and some kind of optics in the near future. I was also sketched out by the issues with 7.62x39 pistol mags so I want to try them out before getting any more. 7 mags should be good... for now.

I will definitely post something once I get it in... still waiting for a tracking number from Wolverine.

Went to range yesterday with 2 XCRs. MY new one Black Key Mod. 556, with Vortex PST 1x4, results Chinese brass ammo 2 1/2" groups, Winchester. 2" groups, all 55 grain. Next US SS109 2" GROUPS, NATO(wink wink) 1 1/2" group, German 1" group, all 62gr. All at 100 yards. German ammo at 290 yards 3" group.
Used XCR with Bushnell scope 1x4 similar results with all distances add approx. 1/2" t 1" to each group. I believe groups would have been better with Vortex scope. Maybe I got two good rifles and I did my part but these guns shoot great. I haven't tried any reloads yet. Problems with feeding using C-mags. Junk, not good enough to be door stops. I have 6 for sale if anybody wants them. Better yet I will smash them. Complaints about these rifles being heavy try lugging My Browning BBR in 30.06. So quit being pansies and enjoy.

Thanks Zeuce,, great idea. I will poke holes in them and if I remember I will take pictures and post them as warning to all. Spread the word, c-mags are junk

Mesa, I'm running the cheap Bushnell now. I was considering the PST, then I saw the Razor. Saving my $ now.
Im thinking of perforating the Bushnell. :)
 
Hi 9er. Lol. I could get my self in deep poop. If I weld the rivet would that be ok. Lol. Bushnell can be used on a.22 so save it. c-mags will be scrapped one way or another
 
Hi 9er. Out to range and I am amazed with xcr performance. without any issue 1 1/2" groups are achieved with Chinese ammo, No issues with rifle at all. As far as I am concerned excellent piece of kit,

I don't remember what 1.5" groups look like. I'm starting to measure my groups in time.
Sorta like; "hey check this out, I just shot a 10 round group, it measured 3 seconds" ;).
I'm finding action shooting much more amusing than grouping, right now. My poor bolt guns aren't feeling it.

Bahawawhaw thats awesome! I enjoy mag dumps in my xcr. So far i can beat all my buddies with there AR's doing 2 10 round mags. Fastest mag change there is IMO
 
Hey guys. I am at stage of testing and messing with accuracy. Nothing like getting that barrel too hot to touch. I am at about 400 count. Boy have I got along way to go. By the way 3 second 10 round group is very impressive. LOL. Cheers
 
Let my 10 year old daughter shoot my L last night. She had no problems hitting my 12x12 steel gong at a 100 yards. She loved it! Doubt she will want to use her .22 anymore now lol!
 
My kids don't enjoy shooting the XCR. I've got 3, plus 13 nieces and nephews, plus friends kids. The all want to shoot it, but few want to shoot it twice. My son is 16, the typical cod know it all, he doesn't like the rifle. I don't get it, but I've got other guns for them.
Women on the other hand, love shooting it. I see a lot of girls, driving their barbie jeeps up the mountain, or guys taking their ladies for a rip :). The guys will bla bla about guns, the women come right out and ask, "can I shoot that".
Yes you can baby, yes you can...

I'm innocent looking, they feel safe. Lol

10 rounds 3 second, I can beat that... We need to have that as a competition sticky... lol just saying.

My neighbors kid is the same. Hes 19, no job. Sits at home plays cod all day. Saw my xcr-L green tiger stripe... Asked me if it was real and I said yah... Asked him if he wanted to hold it, nope... Acted like it was going to burn him if he touched it... lol

10 rounds @ xx yards
Rounds on paper, with no shoots
Position- shooter choice
Include 1 mag change
Add time for miss
Video

Or however you want to organize it. It's all yours. ;)

Fwiw, even when I'm dumping rounds, I'm still on target.
