Meh, even the accuracy of the AR15 is so overblown on this site from peoples BS stories.
A standard AR15 is expected to be a 1-3 MOA rifle at basic design with common ammunition depending on make/manufacturer and that's usually with an optic these days even.
It's a semi auto gas operated battle rifle design, just like the XCR, ACR, AR180 etc etc
You can tweak any rifle at the cost of thousands of dollars to make it "more accurate" if you really feel the need but for all your efforts and money burned you will be no further ahead than if you just bought a bolt action or semi auto hunting rifle designed to be accurate from the ground up. Except you'll have saved thousands of dollars and personal time and ammo.
I think it's because most of the NR black rifles in this country are so expensive that people think they are associating them with some kind of super high quality precision semi auto rifle or something The price is reflective only of the limited (sad) Canadian firearms market and limited numbers of rifles available, limited demand plus cost of import on the dealer to make a profit and stay afloat etc etc
It's beyond me how people drop $3K on a rifle designed to be a sloppy, loose toleranced for reliability, semi auto battle rifle and expect it to shoot sub MOA.
Personnaly when I shoot my AR15 and I'm getting 3-4" consistent groups with irons at 100 meters with common bulk ammo, I'm happier than a pig in s**t. Same goes with any of my semi auto battle rifles.
Maybe it's just me.....
