Here is my story with that exact same gun.
I bought it on a impulse cause I too had a influx of blood to the groin area as soon as I saw it. White Gold Medallion 270wsm. I loved the gun, it cycled super smooth, never had any issues with it. Except!!!! The caliber. Now I'm no darling when it comes to recoil, I have other 270wsm, plus I own 300wsm and 338 Lapua Mag. But in that gun a 270wsm is the WRONG caliber. Trust me! When I bought it I had the choice of 243, I wish I bought that. It would have been 100% my official deer gun. The 270WSM in that light short gun kicked like a donkey. I literally mean that, and the worst part was its vertical kick. I have never fired a rifle which kicked vertically so hard. The end of the barrel would jump back like I was firing a bazooka. I can shoot my 338 Lapua all day if my bank account allows. But this gun was terrible. After 1 round you didn't want to shoot anymore. And I have my one and only weatherby eye from that bastard. I sold it to a buddy...sucker... he then sold it within 3 weeks. He did same thing, fired once and said the hell with this.
If you can find it in 308 or 243 get it. 270wsm Hell no!!
