I bought a compact brick

I don't mind the stock Glock sights that much, they aren't my favourites but down to a very low light level they are just fine if Alphas are what you are after. Shoot with them enough and they will work for you. Is it dark? Use a flashlight.

Go take a lowlight course then get back to us. Lights are supplemental and when used properly do not replace night sights. There is plenty of time when the light level is too low to see sights and still see the target.

My used G34 came with a slim fiber optic on the front and a plain black rear. Other than the large amount of white space surrounding the blade they aren't bad, and are taller than the stockers. The G-41 has the stock adjustable sights. The box doesn't bother me much, but the lower height somehow puts me off. Perhaps just because I had the 34 first and got used to it.

The 19, though... Looks interesting, but there really isn't room in my heart for another Glock. So many other better looking, better feeling, and better handling handguns out there. Two is a good number for me

Why are you shooting in the dark or in low light conditions? Are you moonlighting as the Punisher? We can't ccw in this Country anyhow. So stock sights are fine for most, I can see it being useful for LEOs.

As well where do you shoot. Most ranges do not allow shooting when it gets dark or is getting dark. This is listed in our range rules.

13. Shooting hours on all outdoor range areas are from ½ hour before Sunrise to ½ hour after Sunset daily. Daylight hours only!

Big boys play by big boy rules. Not all ranges restrict shooting to well lit conditions, nor do all competitons restrict themselves to "daylight" shooting. As for ccw, its legal but never issued and that's only if you wish to be governed by a piece of paper. Many many people good and bad ccw daily.

Some people have no issues with using firearms to defend themselves and being able to see your sights is always a good thing. And as mentioned, if you train and take a lowlight course you'll appreciate night sights.

Well they are breaking the law, weather we like it or not.

As well what ranges allow low light shooting, or who teaches such courses? TDSA?

Feel free to adhere to stupid laws. If there's no victim there's no crime. I can see with all those who carry, use drugs, cheat on their taxes, j-walk etc that the world is falling down around us.

we shoot defensive pistol tuesday nights year round, 6pm till 9pm.... living in the north it is dark by 8pm so we shoot with weapon lights, flashlight or have the targets illuminated with headlights.

also our indoor 25m range that we shoot in the winter is only well lit at the 20m line and the backstop...(ballistic block), so when we are shooting on the move or the course of fire is under 20m which most of them are, we are shooting in "lowlight", enough low light that guys with stock sights have issues seeing them. we shoot indoors starting last week till may 1st usually. and again every tuesday night 6-9pm..... we shoot approx 45-48 days a year in the defensive pistol/3gun stuff a year, plus we host 3-4 3gun matches a year, as well peace river hosts 2-3 3gun matchs a year also.

each of our 3gun matches has one no-light/low light stage on the indoor range.... we have had pitch black where only the weapon light/flashlight provided illumination, some e&i guys made an awesome red/blue l.e.d. strobe setup up for us that we put behind the shooter to simulate police lights..... thats why ALL of my competition guns have night sights.

north peace rod and gun club.... as far as low light courses go earl green with phaseline green tactical teaches them, i took one in grande prarie last year and the course was awesome and made me totally rethink my flashlight/weaponlight choices. http://www.phaselinegreentactical.ca/

i can't say enough about earls low light course, its one of those things that is a real eye opener.... game changer.

cool. #### all our range does is black badge. no idpa no 3 gun and certainly no low light stuff.

the matches are advertised in the action shooting games forum, peace river and fsj aren't to far from you..... grande prarie does 2-3 matches per year as well, 2 3gun and usually one pistol match. all 3 ranges have camping areas.

I have trained and competed in low to no light. I stand by my opinion, it is different than yours.

also just bought a glock41 as well as the g19tb and have had plenty of experience with the glock adjustable sights.... they are pure and utter garbage, 10x worse then the stock fixed sights.

Now you've gone and made me want to spend money :(

I'll have to look into a decent set of target sights for both of them. I don't like the fiber optic on the 34. The rod comes loose and it just gets coated in residue anyway

Is it really that bad with the top window? Its not even a ported barrel is it? I bought a FO front for a 21C that I just ordered, I was hoping since the ports are pointing out to the sides it woudnt be that bad
