Ok I love the Python. Nickle, stainless, especially blue but in the EE lately, WTF? $4000? $6500? If people are actually paying these prices I guess it's true that there's one born every minute.....

If I wanted the gun and I had the money, I'd be more than willing to pay the price.
Some are paying $5000 and more for a Colt SAA 45acp antique, just so they can legally shoot a handgun in the bush.
I would have bought one, only I know that Justin will soon close this "loophole".

Yes, but they were more like $1500-$2000, not the $5000 or so that we've been seeing in the last few weeks. I was thinking that "The Walking Dead" might have some influence, but that's in its fifth season now so I'm not sure. Just one of those cyclic things?

Good point, Walking Dead probably contributed. I think it is a bit of bubble now and prices will stabilise eventually but who knows? The gun is a classic in it's own time I guess as opposed to the WW1 Colt semi-autos or the Colt !st generation SAA's which had to wait quite a while before they were appreciated for the time tested classics that they are. The one I wish I'd kept was an unfired nickle 6" with box & papers.

That pretty much sums it up.....if they have the money to waste , might as well waste it on a over-priced Colt as anything else.......
