Dangerous game short range match. The challenge is on!

Can you fire all three shots at once if you can you'd be on your *ss but it would definitely break the record...

No, but you may be able to tripple tap ;-) My Synergy O/U is so good for double tapping even with the factory trigger (actually better than all the semis I played with).

That's less than a light loaded Savage muzzleloader. Very similar to what someone would put together for squib load plinking with a big bore.

That's not to say I want to get shot with one, but a DGR in .45 will be double the energy and 3 times the recoil. Very much a different world.
It seems everyone here is posting like this is an african safari with elephants and rhinos charging a 25 yards, I didn't see any of that mentioned in the op's opening post, he even talks about shotguns with many results being posted by shotgun users...... I guess I am special since everyone responds to my question saying it is not enough/verboten to use a semi and the rest get a free pass

I'm sure you can do anything and post anything you want. Just don't be too shocked if people with definite ideas of what a dangerous game rifle is don't agree with you.

so what you are saying is you do not agree with the person and post that started this thread, gotcha.

no mention of the 44 being under powered?

It is underpowered for stopping but often it's what I have in my hand when I'm out hiking with the kids or other gear. If I was charged by anything dangerous the order of the list is what I would be wishing for. In a perfect world I could carry guns like a superhero in a video game :)

I see, many would construe this comment otherwise. What is the internet for if not for splitting hairs, right?
and I go on to explain exactly what dangerous game I have available to me. I thought this was CGN?
not sure where u live but with me being in BC that means grizz and it is not going to live after 5 rounds at 25yds, even 1 will do.

Check out the forum index sometime and read the description of the hunting forum. ;) Classically and typically, dangerous game has a whole different meaning than your understanding. Geo's thread here admittedly takes a very northern hemisphere approach, and I've only just truly versed myself in it today looking through it. Very familiar with Grizzlies myself, see them as many days of the month than not much of the bear season. And I'll concede in that vein your .450 Marlin would keep me content in that role as well, not my first choice but seldom does thinking align on such matters. What gun is your .450 semi anyhow, I've missed that part.

But Master Chief only carries two guns! Now, Doom Guy.... He carries everything including a pistol with a 50-round magazine - cause he NEVER has to reload that sucker...

Black Bear. Ran 100 yards after a double lung shot with a 458 Lott at close range.

You can go ahead and use what you've got on a grizz. It wouldn't be my first choice though.

It is not a Marlin, it's a Bushmaster

Yer kiddin' right? A big-ass double on a smallie that woulda dropped with a decent shot from a .30-30?
That's funny. Oy Vey.

I like you SHELL, so as a kind suggestion, unfortunately your inexperience in those matters is showing. That is not a small animal and you're judging on photo perspective, it is not a friendly animal, and it is not walked up to and popped like an Island critter with a .30-30.

Considering that thing absorbed 5 .375s, 2 .500s and a .577 before he was convinced that he had undergone change in status, belies his apparent size in the photo.

My god why is everything so difficult on CGN.

:)

I am on the road and reading this from abroad. I'd like to see more shooting videos with some real screw ups like in my posts.

Shoot whatever you think is appropriate for a dangerous game animal 25 yards away from you with bad intentions. Me I think 12 gauge slugs and .303 centrefire and up.
