25 Yard Freestyle Accuracy.....let's play a game.

And forgot the targets at home on Friday so we did something else, won't be able to visit this again until late December unfortunately.

Damn, that's good shooting dude. But that looks like a 99 - 4x to me??

I've got some work to do.

The bottom 2 are defiantly 9's. There's a defined edge to 4 strikes in that large hole...... I took at least 3 min to shoot that target, so it's not like I'm doing it quick!

Man these targets are huge!

I shoot approx 20,000 rounds a year between rifle, pistol and shotgun (mostly rim fire)....... I guess it shows!

Was at the range yesterday, did not remember the modalitys of your challenge except, from 25 yards offhand...
soo i used my Les Baer Monolith with American Eagle 230 gr FMJ...
Did 5 groups, 4 groups were 8 rounds and one was 10 rounds, did not mesured them, i did it just for the fun of it... JP.

I'll post a pic of my efforts when I get the chance. In the meantime, for all my loyal haters, here's a pic of 4 mags(24 rounds) from a Glock 42 chambered in .380 with stock(crap!)sights I shot last week in Las Vegas. Distance is 7 yards, shots were fired at a steady cadence offhand. The target circle is 3" in diameter and I haven't shot handgun in several months.

Here's a 25 yard target but it was shot 20 rounds at 20 yards (don't ask, it's a long story) The gun is a '77 Browning Hi-Power with the beer can target sights.

Great shooting. And unlike the post directly above yours, I have no problem believing you actually did shoot that at the distance stated.

If the poster above said those groups were from 7m, I still wouldn't believe he shot them.

Appreciate the kind words. The Glock 42 is simply a smaller version of the original. Its a bit difficult to grip because its so small, but a decent BUG or deep carry gun for sure.

not a prize winning group.....but all my own work....lol
love the sp-01 shadow...the random shot was no 1, an accidental pull(getting used to the 3 pound trigger)lots of take up then ....bang.

Thanks, but I scored it correctly. The angle of the photo just makes 'em look closer than they are.

Believe me, if I could get away with scoring it higher I would have.:d

Oh dear! I tried and I sucked hard so I will go back again on the weekend and try again. In my last 2 matches my 25 yard shooting has been getting worse so either the eye balls or the old CZ need a little attension. Only 6 on target so I will post when I suck less.

I've been anxious to try this out since this thread started and today i finally got to the range.

I also made a very interesting discovery today aswell. First off i'll state that I'm ambidextrous, depending on what I'm doing I'm either left or right handed. For example i write right handed and i shoot a rifle left handed. Shooting a rifle left handed seems the most natural, and at the beginning of this year I bought my first handgun. For some strange reason I felt compelled to shoot right handed and i've been doing that and progressing well. But I haven't been improving as much lately and have been having a hard time keeping consistent groups. So today I thought I would try some left handed shooting and i surprised the s#!t out of myself. I can shoot better with my left hand! I had made better groups before right handed, but not quite as consistent as left.... Anyway in total today i shot 100 rounds. About 20 right handed and about 80 left handed. I saved my last 20 rounds for the 25 yard target and here they are... (Definitely nothing to brag about, but for my first day shooting lefty I am very happy).

First 10: 75, 1x, and 2 flyers cz75b Omega, BDX 124gr FMJ

Second 10: 88, 0x cz75b Omega, BDX 124gr FMJ

Good shooting guys. It's a little harder doing it than what a lot of shooters think it is. Once you can consistently get them all in the black, you deserve to buy a bottle of fine Scotch.
With this type of challenge it can tell you about what you might have to do to improve. Good challenge.

I got to wondering how tight a group I would have to shoot at 7 meters to hit the Xon these targets and realised I didn't remember how to calculate it.
Had to go back to grade 6 to find out:

This thread has turned out exactly like I hoped. It's getting folks out and pushing themselves.

Great shooting guys, I'm loving seeing the targets and comments.
