I was in a store in Calgary today and they're wanting $575 for 1000 rounds of 62 grain FMJ .223 (or $500 for 55 grain).
In the US right now, you can get brand name .223 for $250-$300.
Yeah, yeah - "shipping", "lower dollar" - blah, blah, blah. Neither of these things should account for a ~100% price increase. :/
Kind of like how these retailers #####ed about Brownells selling us Magpul and all of a sudden the price of a Magpul stock doubled overnight.
Pro-tip for Canadian retailers: If you have to rely on "crony-Capitalism" to make a profit, you shouldn't be in business. :/
