Help picking an AR - Bushmaster or Colt

1180.57 plus shipping vs. 1,299 shipped...

I'd say ee guy is about $75 over market value...not that big a deal...If I wanted one right now I'd point that out and offer a hundred less than his asking.

Who woulda thought the price would fall so far. That's been happening to a lot of things that used to be unobtainium.

Enjoy your new Colt OP, good choice.

When I bought my new AR-15 about 10 years ago, the were 2K EASY... Colt Law Enforcement Carbine was $2,150.00 NIB and I bought my Bushmaster A3 16" HBAR / M4 for $1,950.00 all in I believe.

Now that everybody and their mothers are manufacturing AR's price are Waaaaay down lol

A NIB Colt LE6920 goes for around $1,299.00 depending on factory options/accessories.

I own a Bushmaster, been a fantastic rifle. Its a Full Size M16A3. Never had issues, all mags work, all ammo I've tried spits it out. Accurate. It all comes down to price. If you can find a good deal on either go for it. But owning a Bushmaster, I've been loving it.

My take on that is get a KAC ( i think the real difference lay betheen them and the rest of the pack), then all the others in the order of the special prices, cant go wrong with either at those low prices... JP.

Speaking of 308's, looking forward to seeing you post your SR-25 when you get it !

It will depend of time of ETA, sure the KAC is at the top but the LMT AR-308 is still in the race, one of the 2 will come home... Time will tell, my mind i more on the upcoming snowmobile season... JP.

My colt 6920 was $1120 or something stupid low in aug, CAD taxes in and shipped

Amazon.ca has a credit card where you don't pay foreign transaction fees and get 1% cash backp

Look on the EE....dude has a NIB Colt LE 6920 5.56mm for sale ONLY $1,299 Shipped !!!

Wow....I'd be all over that ;)

Thanks guys, I bought the 6920 magpul edition from IRG that should be here early Dec. I was looking at some accessories for it.

1> UTG bipod (will this fit and is it decent for $40?)
2> Sparc 2 + Magnifier (vortex/lucid ) - any recommendations on which one would fit with the Sparc II and would I need any risers/quick release/flip mounts that would go with it. I like the lucid because it's variable and can go to 5x.
3> sling - vcas? - do I need a swivel or just the sling is enough

Thanks for the help, I want to make sure I can stock up on things for some black friday deals lol

Skip the bipod, this is a carbine, not a precision rifle.
Buy QUALITY optics for your 6920. A Sparc 2 and magnifier are not good enough IMHO. An Aimpoint PRO is the lowest I would go.
Yes. VCAS all the way. Dont think the 6920 is set up for QD swivels so that is a non starter out of the box.

I'm inclined to agree with above statement. Aimpoint Pro is a good starting optic, but a T1 or H1 is where i would start. if you feel you need magnification, run your rifle for a few months on iron sights (never hurts to get good with them) then i would go with a SpectreDR. I loved my LE6920 with a SpectreDR, great glass and built to last. If you intend on keeping your rifle "old school" m4, any decent 2 point sling should do it. I can't remember if the Magpul edition comes with quick release or not, probably should i think. Im not a big fan of the UTG bipod, a good light weight foregrip and a sand bag is the way to go.

just my opinion, but as a fellow Tavor owner i like to keep my muzzle end of my AR's as light as possible.

KAC, Colt Canada or DD. In that order.

Shrubmaster should be in the garbage bin with the likes of DPMS.
That's a bit harsh, I have a DD and I have owned many bushmasters. I would agree that the DD is better quality, but bushmaster is far from garbage.

I could be mistaken but i think Colt and DD dont offer the powerfull AR-10, thus a Bushmaster is a better AR-10... Lol... JP.
