All I can say is, where do I sign up for this hunt....

We have lived in north Nestleton for 31 years and every fall the Canada geese flock together in the farmer’s field next to us in preparation for their long migration south. It is such a marvelous sight to watch them leave in formation for their journey.
Something went terribly wrong on the morning of Oct. 25, 2014. At 7:30 a.m., I was awoken by multiple gun shots. It really frightened me. The geese were terribly upset. The shots kept coming and coming and I could hear that things were out of control. As I lay in my bed, horrified, I heard screams of terror and crying from the defenseless geese.
The continual shooting went on for well over an hour and then the cries ceased and the gun shots ceased. I knew the geese were dead and I was devastated. It all happened right outside my bedroom window.
My neighbour confronted these men and all they did was laugh as they loaded the dead geese into their trucks and left. All that remained was a chilly silence.
I am appalled that the new owner of this farm would allow these men on his land to commit such an act of violence. This was not hunting, but rather the massacre of an open field of geese. It was very upsetting and disturbing.
How and why was this permitted?
We need and want answers.
