HA, thanks. I was a little nervus and did break a tap but still went good.Right on...successfully ruined a piece of history.

It is highly probable that it saw service in WWI, WWII, or both. Was in service to earn the * marks on the receiver and barrel.
Thanks for letting me use it dude, sorry it took so long to get the drill bits. I had to order a second set because the first set wouldn't even touch the metal on the receiver, to hard to drill. I got a set of cobalt bits and even then it was hard to drill, had to be real patient. Even broke one tap because the metal is so hard and them taps are not cheap.
