I am just getting so bored with all the new ARs out there so decided to go back to the original simple design that started it all.
No batteries, no rails, little as possible plastic, when I feel the need I grab my other flat top but strangely I prefer the original configuration also get lots of people asking where did I find it.
I have a SWG made 1988/89, had her over 20 years now shoots amazing with the 5.56 barrel in 11.5"all the AR Forums say the early ones where pretty good and used by lots of Police departments in the US.
I have a metal sliding buttstock, just waiting for some authentic 6 hole skinny grips as it has the new style fat grips, also has the old school pistol grip, and Colt scope clone. I did have the original Colt 3x20 regret selling it but I was offered stupid money for it used the funds to by a .22 conversion kit, Colt scope clone, ammo, and more mags.
Will post some pics when finished but let's see some of those hard to find old girls.
A link showing AR pictures (hope this is okay to do)
