H4831, Eagleye, and Ganderite..........

Well deserved Thread...I always read threads and post by those mentioned, and several more...I learned to reload 50 years ago, and since joining CGN have sharpened my skills considerably...Congratulations to all the Senior Members, that Make CGN such a great site. RESPECTFULLY Deer Dr.

Some forums I have browsed have a thank you button at the bottom of posts, so you can obviously leave some positive feedback when someone points you in the right direction, that's missing here, and it seams like the days of hand shake and a thank you are disappearing, so the only way to say thanks and pass on anything positive is either a post like this or a PM...........

Oh and Bruce, one day I need to read your book(shameless free plug)

I've read Bruce's book, definitely worth picking up.

My list is limited to those I have shook hands with.
Once "eagleye" or "guntech" have made a comment there is not much else I could add.

A BIG THANK YOU to all that have given me technical support and sharing their knowledge.!!

"you are a gentleman,..a scholar...and a Judge of Fine women.

I feel an obligation to chime in when I think I can help on a topic.

And I really welcome the resource to be able to ask a question (as I just did about my Mausers) and tap into a huge reservoir of quality information.

If we are acknowledging experts here and saying '"thank you", I think Smellie should be thanked first. He can really put our hardware into a historical context.

I have no regrets about the occasional push back I get. Some posters just don't want to hear that Santa does not arrive on their roof with a sleigh and 12 tiny reindeer.

One other person I can think of that certainly deserves credit for the expertise he has given us, is Andy.
He is a wealth of common sense, done that, information for us.

There are legions of unsung hero's posting on here.
How about that trusting soul that took on your very first EE transaction?.

Thanks manitou210!. Those Redding Comp. 6.5x55 dies you sold ~greenhorn 0 TR vvik~ ... are still loading the rounds to less than 1 thou TIR.

For me, more importantly than the knowledge these gentleman obviously have, is the experience they have.

You can gain knowledge from a textbook but you can't get experience from one...

This experience, knowledge and their willingness to share it are what make their posts special...

Knowing that one has been instrumental in assisting others to enjoy their hobby to a greater degree is a reward in itself.

Thanks so much, all for the accolades. Each and every one of us learns something every day, or that day is a waste. [yours truly included]

You have also laid to complete rest any thoughts that perhaps our comments went unappreciated. Again, thank you. :)

Dave.

All Canadian gun owners owe a debt of gratitude to a member on the Forum - Talkative. He's been active in the pro-gun movement since, at least, the early 1970's. He founded "FARO" (Firearms and Responsible Ownership"). Which I joined in 1973.

I ALWAYS read every post and Thread of Eagle Eye...I either agree, or try it, and find it to be true...he is MY Hero...and I don't have many heroes. Eagle Eye should write a book as THE POWDER MAN did.

Funny you say that as i also read all of eagleye's reply's,sometimes if it is something that does not have anything to do with my interests i will still read it.Ganderite is also right up there great guys with lots of knowledge. There are many others also but these 2 stick to my memory.

The search for Truth may include searching for people who search for Truth. People who search for Truth are not first Teachers, but students - who are still seeking- not just attempting to defend their own conclusions.

Having a forum to speak on - an audience - like on the internet - tempts us to claim our pile of conclusion as our own - and we defend our little pile of crappy conclusions - like this one - until there is nothing left but the stink - and forget to be students.

Woo - that was philisolomophical - I dare anyone to attack it!

It is refreshing to talk to an old guy who still has the windows open to learning - as well as being willing to share. I think that the attacks that the old fellows come under when they are on the 'net make them close up and go away. I noticed that on Cast Boolits too - like others have mentioned.

Real students show respect. Poor students crave it.

Yeesh - this is getting preachy - I'd better go to work.
