K98 Sniper Clone, Looking for build advice!

Found a post war scope that seems to look alright from the seller many of you have recommended from ebay. Good price tag on it too, thought on this?

Also that FG 42 is amazing! Guess when I win the Lotto Max draw ill have another project...
this one looks good in the pictures and would be good in a side mount or claw mount. I would pass on the EBRA

As cool as turret mounts are ,,they are a pain in the ass to mount . and the scope has to be taken apart ,and the rings have to be reamed to the diameter of your scope. then the bases have to be levelled an fitted to the rifle. $$$
side mounts are so much easier.

The Corwin arms turrents have the slit rings so you don't need to take the scope apart from the pictures I have seen. The scope I'm hoping to win in by the end of today has a 26.5mm diameter tube, same dimension as the Corwin turrets, should be a good fit, I think anyways.

The Russians make a 8x in a 26.5mm. I have a few that I got many years ago. 8x scopes had limited use on sniper
rifles. 8x lands between 6x and 10x. Weaver even made scope rings in 26.5mm

Hey now, this is a consignment firearm! We are going to talk to the consigner and see if anything can be adjusted.

Actually I must apologize, Cody. Sincerely.
Brainfart on my behalf, it was the other surplus dealer.
I have never had problems with Milarm.

Has an original wartime Zeiss zielsechs scope, milled mount with waffen amts, sniper safety with waffen amts, rubber eye cup, cross hatched butt plate etc. Also a bcd4 which is correct for an LSR.

Pretty darn good clone made with original and high quality repro parts.

What I turned what I had into. No idea where the rear sight went.

the chance of getting a Original military scope for a good price is slim . there are lots of German 1930's and 40's hunting scopes for very good prices.
Czech and Austrian scopes are also good.

there mounts are ok , why bother with the scope when you can get an original period scope for $100 more.

Those mounts look cast.

I would go with the milled Accumounts.

That is very true. I might as well just hunt around and be patient with the scope to get a nice original for a decent price.

A nice original will fetch $1000 easy
