And what about Zastava's all weather?
...I wish Ruger made a M77 Hawkeye Laminate Stainless with a 22" barrel in 30-06. Closest thing they have is the Gunsite Scout or Laminate Stainless Compact.
You're right ..... I have a 24" SPS here in 7/08 that I just weighed up in a lightweight Wildcat. Bare rifle, no scope or mounts weighs a shade below 6lbs. Cut it back to 22", bed it and get the trigger tuned and you're set.Snipping off a SPS barrel would an easy way to get where you want to be. Pick whatever stock you want and throw the Tupperware away.
Am I missing something?

Yes you are missing something, the link you posted has a black synthetic stock. I said I wished Ruger made "LAMINATE STAINLESS" model M77.
steyr pro hunterSo far the Ruger and the Remington seem to be my only options new.
in your original post you say you want synthetic?Yes you are missing something, the link you posted has a black synthetic stock. I said I wished Ruger made "LAMINATE STAINLESS" model M77.
....Sorry....misunderstood....
Do they make them without open sights???
No worries, I actually am leaning towards the M77 Hawkeye All-Weather in 30-06. It seems to have the exact dimensions I'm looking for on a rifle. I will look into this Steyer Pro Hunter also but I should give you guys a budget of about $1200 max for rifle and if that includes tax I would be happy.
I do also like laminate stocks and wish they had the M77 Hawkeye Laminate with a 22" barrel. Ahhhh I'm sure they will put it out next year after I buy my M77 Synthetic.

What do those thumb holes weigh?Drop it into a Boyd's and bed it... add maybe $250 to your total cost.
they are nice if you like that sort of thing
they are nice if you like that sort of thing
Boyd's stocks add weight to your rifle.
