I have elves that come in after dark to clean all my guns for me. I just leave out a plate of cookies and a glass of milk,,,,,,,,
You guys are crazy! Some of my target .22's don't even start shooting worth a damn until 500-1000 rounds are down the barrel.
I pretty much never clean my .22s barrels, actions and exteriors are clean and lubed.
I would love a cookie please. Peanut butter. Thank you.
Screw the cookies i want a nice glass of whiskey on ice. After shooting of course.![]()
IF I fire only 10 rds down the barrel of the 10/22, she gets cleaned!!!! I'm a nut!!!
My comment on cleaning a 10/22: You need 3 hands and a full-blown epileptic seizure in order to put the bolt back in.. During one of the whacks to get it back out so I could pull the charging handle back again I ended up badly bruising my hand today. I HATE cleaning this gun
Clean the barrel with copper "washed" rounds? I've tried it with jacketed rounds in other calibers too try and clean a leaded barrel. While it looked clean , all I had done was lapped a layer of lead under some copper fouling. But that with an actual jacket. Wouldn't think a copper wash would have the same effect as a copper jackets seeing how soft it is.
The 10/22 is easy as pie to take apart and put back together, wait till' you clean a Mark pistol if you havn't already.
Those, I refuse to clean.
