die hards?

Plenty of us crazy birders...

Was out last week on big water... in a snow storm... at -15 Celcius... I guess that counts as "die hard."

Yes sure do. Sure was some good hunting threads at one time and a bunch of fun folks. Is this Roadrunner?

Our season was spectacular or should I say Speck-tacular?!! ;)

That would be me!
One of these days I'm going to check out the prairies (aka Graceland) gotta pick my poison though. Right now I'm building a white rig with some good friends. Sick of sitting on the sidelines when the snows roll through. (putting together white rocks as we speak having a beer by the wood stove)

When I was younger and immortal, yes. Ah the memories! Small boats on a frothy battleship gray hued Georgian Bay. The sky rotating between clear, purple, yellow and white as squalls raced through. Waves breaking over the gunnels and freezing on contact with your Gore-Tex parka. All in the pursuit of divers.

Well RR if youre heading out this way let me know.......we always have room for you. We are doing the same getting ready for the spring season. Right now we have about 6 dozen white shells and 3 dozen FB's and adding 30 dozen silosocks by spring to throw out with what we have now.

Holy crap!!! It's almost a reunion! Good to see ya BD! How's things ya call whore? Bwahahaha!!! I miss the good old FK days of heckling and bs with friends. I know there are at leastt a couple other familiar faces around here...(baron... Bardern...perhaps more?)
Appreciate the invite Frank, same to you brotha, eve r back in Ontario I'd be more than happy to park you in a field over a spread of Smith's. Looks like your on top of things out there. Got ten dozen white rocks right now, gunna add at least another ten dozen by spring with a few dozen shells and maybe a decent number of full bodies. Gunna build an e caller over the next couple months

im one for the birds, -18 last year jumping in an out of the water for mallards, water freezing the waders stiff and the buttstock of the gun had duck blood frozen all over it.

I think Chad and I are going to head back next fall for a week or two to do some hunting. I'll be checking in with you if we do!!

We used my foxpro spitfire this past season SB, it's not much of an e-caller compared to some but it did work. We only threw out my 3 dozen Dakota FB's on mixed species hunts but we were able to draw birds in between that and the e-caller. A bigger spread I am sure might have helped, or at least we are hoping it would......will?? LOL

Canada's were tough this fall at times from what we were hearing from others but Chad (Chisholm) has a beauty 14 dozen FB Dakota spread now that really sealed the deal, especially on the Lessers!!

Sounds very familiar - but for me it was the Bay of Fundy.... the good old (crazy) days.....
