That's how I remember it :/
If I recall, it went "Hey look at this totally canada legal AK we're bringing in to you!" and then several weeks later "Surprise! Here it is, it's a straight pull rifle."
And that's the last I had heard of it other than the crowd of upset people that followed.
I thought that at the time it showed some promise if a proprietary say thirty round mag could be developed (unlimited cap as bolt action ? ) that might fit some thing else with minimal tinkering ie lar -15 mag.
They have straight pull AKs in England. So I don't see why we couldn't get them here...but who am I kidding....
I agree. What a crock od S_ _ _t these laws. If it's semi it should be legal. Feel like we are living in communism again.
Funny thing is most of the former Warsaw Pact nations have more freedom now than we do.
