picked a nice tula 1950 today at wholesale north in edmonton , barrell look like a new , very shiny with a strong rifling , it a refurd with a black bayo , first thing i did after cleaning it was to swap the magasine with one i had that have been pinned form the bottom of the mag not the follower , that the second tula 1950 i buy , they are not chrome line but that dont change a thing for me

I was at the winnipeg store too and they told me they are super grade what ever that means but the magazines don't match and the pin is that one that attached to the follower. They have another unopened crate in the back maybe that one will be better
Be carfull guys, I went to check out the laminates and they were absolutly Horrifing. Looked like they freshly BBQ painted then sloppy and messed up the stocks badly refinishing. The "super grades " were nice tho but there hardwood. I would hate to get anything else :| looks like they were painted a dark brown too.
I have not found any sort of accuracy with their website for several years now. Around the time they stopped printing paper catalogues it seemed to go all to hell. After many issues I don't even check it anymore, just go to the store and talk to someone. Unfortunate because I'll generally take them over Cabela's as far as local choice goes.
Apparently the "supergrade" is just hardwood, matching numbers. You're right about the different pinning. The other crates were different, seems weird assuming it was from the same "batch". The mags should have all matched...maybe he was confused and thinking of the SVT 40's?
