Bear fear is a great motivator. Northman999 had the most practical point I've seen in a while. I'd copy his post but I don't know how.
Anyone remember the good olde days on CGN when "Bear Defence Threads" and arguing about short mags with BigRedd were the norm?

OMG, thanks BUM- now I'm going to have that vision in the back of my mind every time I see a rifle in WSM!!I am picturing Paul and Clarke sitting at the piano singing the theme song to All In The Family.

While on you tube, I stumbled upon this .......
God I miss that show.
I'd never seen that clip. It was hilarious as was the whole show. Gene Stapleton was a gas.God I miss that show.

150gr TTSX probably is the best
So what's wrong with a ttsx are they going to bounce off or be unable to do damage to a bear's cranium? I load 150 ttsx for my buddy's 308 that used to be mine for hunting everything btw can't see a cup and core doing better for any scenario I can think of.

I'm not on the TTSX (or TSX) wagon for this scenario... a charging bear is where I would want a Partition or Cup and Core... a nice big chunk of soft lead directly applied to the cranium... in this scenario, I don't give a ratz azz about penetration and controlled expansion... JMO... carry on...
