-Remove receiver cover
-Remove carrier and bolt

To:

-Remove cleaning rod
-Release trigger group
-Lift receiver out of stock
-Remove receiver cover
-Remove carrier and bolt


Not trying to be a dink. But you turned a 98% reliable rifle into 75% reliable rifle with the magazine alone. And created three extra steps to strip the rifle...

Yep, except you may leave the cleaning rod in place.
Otherwise, it's a longer process to strip it, but I can still easily do it in the field w/o any extra tools required

Haters are always going to hate. Good on you for making your rifle yours! I loved my AA stock who cares if you have to drop the TG to clean it?!?!

This killed me once. I was laughing so badly, I had my jaw dislocated.
Anyways, it was an experiment for me, not the way to be cool or smth.
After all, my first gunsmith experience.
If I were to have some extra tools I would install a threaded muzzle brake.
I know how to do it, but do not want to buy extra devices at this time.

Basically, whole project was done with minimal tools, "on the knees" as Russians say, no special equipment or even working table was used.

Thanks, I timed it already, it takes may be 30 seconds longer in my specific case, but yes, I agree it is more cumbersome, 'coz Archangel ppl designed AK-look like fake cover in the butt, and it ended there. It is just a look , a cool look, but being not removable makes it quite a process to disassemble the gun

It's ANGLE SIGHT-you may shoot from around the corner with your hands hanging out only. A cool toy to try :)
Israel army uses those as a standard feature really.
I am not sure if hunting with it is a lot of fun, since it makes it totally unfair, but, again, a nice toy to try on the range and keep for SHTF scenario
 
I have no problem with this kind of mod, because if he ever gets sick of it he can always return the gun to original. What bothers me are people who cut and weld. I have A chinese sks that I bought with the intent to convert to AK-mag accepting. Haven't had the heart to do it especially since I am not allowed to use the full capacity of the original mag, why modify the gun to accept a larger mag that still only holds 5 rounds.
