The Modern Hunter Rifle UPDATED December 10 2015

Dear Sirs,

If for some unfortunate reason the RCMP come back and tell you that the Modern Hunter will be considered restricted. Will you be refunding clients that do not want another restricted firearm?

This question has been answered many times in this thread. Did you create an account just for posting this one post?

From what I understand, he did. Reading through the thread, it should have been 20/20 what is happening and what is to be expected. I just don't get how you can join 11 years ago and just post now.

What I was hoping for was just a simple answer rather than reading through 58 pages of people saying how nice they are, and all the specs, that they want... I see on their web page that they have it listed as non restricted but on the last page of this thread they are still waiting for a final confirmation for classification. The first 7 pages do not answer my question. If you put down a deposit of $1500 and the rifle turns out to be restricted will they refund the deposit for people who do not want to own a restricted firearm?

As far as me having one post in 11 years that is really none of Orthoboy"s business.

Stormy is usually quicker than that. I don't think he realized you have been a member 8 years longer than him. Not everyone likes to post on every topic rather just read and stay informed. I find you question to be a valid one.

Not to detract from this thread, but I am of the opinion that FRT reviews should be required to be done in 30 business days!

These things taking YEARS is ridiculous & ABUSIVE!

Regards
Jay

You are FAR more patient than me, my friend.
I say they have exactly 15 minutes to turn a semi to full, and about 15 seconds to see if it fits into a box exactly 26" long internal dimension.
Similar to ISSF rules for pistols. http://ahg.anschuetz-sport.com/index.php5?menu=55&sprache=1&seite=83&produktID=519

Won't work in a P Mag, so no way in a Modern Hunter.
Still trying to determine what mags for the Modern Magnum, but don't get your hopes up.

Are building proprietary mags through your local supplier an option? I realize most would prefer to use an off shelf item for ease of replacement and availability, but many of those mags that would fit the bill are expensive to say the least. My only request would be that it be a double stack to avoid the rattle that some single stack mags have when moving around ( my Tikka is bad for this ).
Good luck at the shot show, hopefully we'll all be lucky enough to get some good news before then

Awesome! This is my first rifle purchase ever...will now retire my hand me down Browning BAR to a respected place on the wall. Thanks ATRS

Way to go ATRS. What a significant accomplishment that a good idea, some risk and a lot of hard follow-up work have achieved....

The shooting community applauds!

Pretty awesome that Rick is in Las Vegas for the show. Hope he celebrates a tiny bit and rests up on the way home. I'm guessing they'll be throwing all efforts into production Next week.
