Ultra low drag .338's... Chinchaga Steel Tip-Rebated Boattail Hybrids

I have been using Dale's bullets [Hunting and match types] for several years now, and can affirm that he makes a great product.

He has attended the TPR&GC 1000 yard match a few times. Just a great guy to talk to and deal with.

Good to support a Canadian business, as well.

Regards, Dave.

The BC will not come out at 1.00. That would be nice if it could! Lol!
The bullet would have to be at least 250+ grains for this to even approach that value. I have been using .386(G7) value for my 235 grain ULD's. I am going to need to do some more evaluation of this value to prove it. It may be around .390 (G7), which is very good!
I have to figure the BC's of my 176 grain ULD's when I get a chance.

So much shooting to do, so little time! Lol!

Seeing as I am using the 300gr projectiles, a G1 BC of 1.000 is not too unlikely.

I still cant see it, but give me a pm when you work up the BC. I would like to see what you come up with.

The 750 grain Hornady A Max is "Supposed" to be 1.050 (G1). That's pretty big shoes to fill!

If your figures agree with that value, I will talk to Dale about testing some myself to see what I come up with. That would be an amazing result, and a great selling feature for him!

I saw on another thread that Chinbulco has released a 325gr ULD. I would be interested to see some more information on that beast! BC, price per 100, availability? I have a 338 Improved that should be ideal for those bad boys. My buddy is running a 338 Snipetac that should be able to hit a mean 3300fps with those.
