Hey guys I recently made a post about looking for 2 rugged hunting rifles. I purchased a Ruger gunsite scout for my first rifle and Im ordering a tikka t-3 in 6.5x55 tomorrow. I'd just love to see all those tikka's out there , so show em off.

What's the wait time going to be like on your Tikka?

I had a buddy who was looking hard for a stainless/syn in 6.5x55. He couldn't find one for awhile and I saw one on a rack and bought it hoping that he was still looking for one. He was and happily bought it off me a couple days later. This was a few years ago, hopefully you will have a easier time than my buddy.

I just have a couple of pics of mine, from the 2013 hunting season. Less than a mile from the Montana border, pretty open country.

No guarantee on time , they said it could be up to a year. It's a long time!

Tikka T3 Battue Lite 30/06

...couldn't ask for a finer modern rifle. Very happy with my Tikka's.

I would really like to find a T3 in 7x57 and 6.5x55. I know the later is available, but damn hard to find. As I downsize my collection, I want to focus on three core calibres: 30-06, 7x57, and 6.5x55. Everything else, save 12 ga and 22LR, are gone.

Posted before, but I never get tired of it - Tikka superlite 22-250, fluted bolt, yodave spring, hunters edge olive w black n tan speckles, talley lightweights, Leupold vx-6 3-18x44, B&T lightweight bipod. Weighs 7lb 2oz without bipod, 7lb 10oz with it. Stock is 5oz lighter than factory synthetic.

I like your train of thought there. Some fine caliber choices indeed

Here's my T3 Varmint Stainless. It has a EGW 20 MOA rail, Vortex (Seekins) precision matched low rings, and a Leupold Mk4 ER/T 6.5-20x50. Bipod is a Caldwell XLA 6-9 but has since been replaced with the equivalent Harris model HBRMS.

It is a factory made rifle , the only mod. I did was add the pic rail and move the front sling swivel so it wouldn't bite some of our longer armed people.

Tikka T3 Varmint in 6.5X55 SWEDE. One sweet shooter! I have made a few mods, Lumley Arms recoil lug, Atlas Works stainless bolt shroud and handle, Near Mfg. 20 MOA rail, Harrell Precision muzzle brake, GRS laminate stock, Vortex Razor HD 5-20X50 EBR 2B MRAD rifle scope. It has shot many groups in the 0.3 MOA range and a few even 0.2 MOA, I average 0.5-0.6 MOA as I am just not steady enough to get those really small ones out ALL the time. I reload, and use Lapua brass and 136 Scenar L bullets, great combination!
