Hey nutters, I have a nice Mossberg 590A1 that sadly acquired a 5 inch scratch on the barrel near the receiver, really easy to see- bright metal against black finish. There's nothing like a horrible scratch to make a gun look bad. So, any thoughts or ideas on covering up the scratch ? I've read cleaning with alcohol and then using black permanent marker or sharpie will do the trick or applying several layers of cold blue, or having the whole thing dura-coated (don't want to do that) so thought I'd ask people's opinions, thanks!
