I want to mount optic on my CZ 452

8 foot pounds would for sure strip the aluminium. You don't even tighten scope rings past 30 inch pounds. Believe it says right in the instructions to lock tite them

Ahh, ok...Inch pounds then. You are correct, it does say to loctite them in the instructions. I didn't have any when I first installed them and thought I could get away without it. They were fine for ~14 months before they came loose.

If all else fails RTFM.

Thanks,
Cal.

I received the scope today.

Its pretty much a *Tactical* VX1. External dimensions are almost the same as my VX2 but the eye piece looks like a VX1. VX Alumina flip caps and sunshade fits like a glove.

I really like the MOA reticle !

does it come with a rimfire parallax?

Nah ( its 100y ) but I will give it a try, in worse case, I have another rifle that can use it.

From what I see thru the scope, it should be fine !
I shot my VX2 at about 50y many times in the past without any problems.

Firday, I received all the parts ordered from the US.

The only parts I didn't receive yet is the rings ( ordered at Cabela's.ca ).

The J&P adapters are really well machined.

I also ordered a set of Leupold Alumina flip caps for my Redfield.

I tried a set of Medium height rings and it was slightly too low for my eyes.
The High are just perfect.

The only missing parts is the Leupold Alumina flip-caps.

Nice looking rifle..
Lets us know how well the Redfield tracks and how far out it will take you..
I am sending an old Weaver 4-16X42 back for repair to mount on my CZ 452 sporter...
If I can get it to hold 1.5 MOA I will take it out to 300 meters..
May have to get a 20 MOA DIP rail for that, I don't know..

Like you can't wait for winter to end...
