8 foot pounds would for sure strip the aluminium. You don't even tighten scope rings past 30 inch pounds. Believe it says right in the instructions to lock tite them

Ahh, ok...Inch pounds then. You are correct, it does say to loctite them in the instructions. I didn't have any when I first installed them and thought I could get away without it. They were fine for ~14 months before they came loose.

does it come with a rimfire parallax?
If parallax is a problem you can have Korth adjust it to what ever you want..
Shouldn't be over $20.00 but they may charge more..
Or you can adjust it yourself..

Just run of the mill hv or specifically target ammo?
both... Sometimes you can have good surprises from cheap ammo.
Most of the time, expensive stuff give the best results but not always.
I never had a rimfire rifle that not shoots great with Eley's.
