You definitely need a new rifle, for the experience. However, the very sad fact is that your .308 will do nicely for everything you listed. On the one hunt to the Eastern Cape of SA that I did, my brother and I shot 16 animals with a 30-06 and 165gr. tsx. The only one I felt a little under gunned for was my eland, but my bother's eland succumbed to one well placed ( better placed ) shot. Everything else was a one shot kill, or two shots with the second not needed. Eland, Kudu, Gemsbok, Zebra, Black Wildebeest, and a bunch of smaller stuff. Our PH did all his meat animals culling with that 30-06. His father used a .270, even on Eland. they had a .416 Remington for dangerous game, but seldom used it. If you bring two rifles, your .308 for one and a 9.3x62, or .375H & H, or .338 Win Mag would be a nice 2 rifle combo.
