This .22LR shortage is starting to piss me off.

CT is having a funny money deal on saturday, something like 30-times bonus CT money with an options card. Since I have a bit of coin in the bank, I figure I'll break out the credit card and snaffle a few bricks.

Got my shipping charges refunded from cabelas, took all of about 1 minute.You actually get through right away when you call them. Was a good deal for sure thks too another member giving us the heads up. $30 @ brick much better than $40 plus every where else.

I think I still have 6000-8000+ rounds left. Planning is key people, stockpile while its cheap.
i have a feeling guys with stock piles just hardly shoot. if i shot even half as much as i do i'd have stock piles that big as well. i shoot 3 times a week on average and i can go through a brick before i'm bored out of my mind. like just this morning shot off 80 rounds of 7.62x39, 60 rounds of .223, and 150 rounds of 9mm. decided to not even break out the .22's. i'm actually trying to shoot less cause i firmly believe i'd be rich if i didn't litter the range as much LOL
I was at Cabelas Winnipeg today. Only thing they had on the shelf was less than a dozen 50rd boxes of AE solid, few dozen of quiet .22, pile of Federal Match (costs more than Lapua C-X LOL) and a bunch of Green Tag, same thing, expensive compared to Lapua. Only .22 WMR was the wooden boxes of 150 Winchester JHP. A TON of .17 HMR as always.

Cabelas is selling hornady for $19.99/50 and cci for $17.99 federal for $16.99 that is a hell of a jump from a few months ago.
Guys go for air soft if ur worried about costs. This just in: shooting costs $$$$. I am sure some people in these forums drink beer/liquor smoke cigars and cigarettes and eat out and go to Tim Hortons everyday etc. Do you drive less with oil prices fluctuating? I admit I have been dragged into this #selftroll
Yeah, I'm paying more attention now.
In the past few months I've picked up about 3500 rounds of .22lr. Picking up boxes when I see them is now part of my regular routine, and not just .22lr, but all calibers I own.

Cabelas in South Edmonton had some American Eagle, and some CCI Stingers, Mini Mags, Green Tag and Quiets. A day later and all the Stingers, Mini Mags and American Eagle are gone. Everything else is still there.
Possible that just the shelf was empty and they had more in the back, but I never asked. I wanted 243 as that seems to be the next difficult one to find. Shelf was damn near empty of that stuff too!!

They had CCI standard Velocity last week, Limited us to 200 rds, That was Tuesday...

Yeah I was there on tues, and they shelves were packed. Little sign saying limit of 2 per customer otherwise I would have grabbed a bunch more
I guess on the bright side, the guy I was talking to today said they are starting to see .22lr in general come in in more often now. But the numbers are still nowhere near what they used to get.
Basically everyone is limited to 200 rounds at a time no matter what brand for the forseeable future.
