Booked Another African Hunt

I've actually had to ponder that question somewhat...............Now, I could wander off in a huge philosophical diatribe of what reality means to me...........but at 170 and counting guns in my vault and 10s of thousands of loaded rounds and 10s of thousands of brass to be loaded, I'm not sure of my reality, let alone what reality would mean to others..........My reality only involves first world problems, so do I really have a firm grasp on reality, one may ask? My reality poses questions like which of my 170 some odd guns do I take for my 9th safari...........I can tell you as a poor teenager this was not reality to me, but an unattainable pipe dream. Altai Argali and Marco Polo were so far beyond reality as to be somewhere with unicorns and Irish stag, creatures of the mythical mists, and yet here they are in my trophy room.
So as you can see JJohn, one persons reality is another's unattainable pipe dream.............so really what is reality? Only you can say what it means to you and I can only say what it means to me. One thing I do know is that I haven't worried for many years where my next meal is coming from.............That is MY reality.

And I just don't listen to the voices any more.................:d;)

The part in red makes me wonder if this is Douglas admitting that he actually has killed a Unicorn. I'm just curious why we haven't seen any pictures or the details of this hunt. Is the .234 penguin enough for Unicorns?

That's dangerously close to profound.

I've heard a few here have taken them. None will talk about it openly, except perhaps at SOMA meetings, as have you ever tried to buy a unicorn tag...?

Indeed, one thing I've learned is you can alter your reality, in this part of the world. Things today one can do I would have sworn I'd be happy capping off a life with half of, and then there's Douglas' position and it's unimaginably further down the rabbit hole. It's all perspective to be sure.

Now if there's one thing I've found, it's that nothing is harder to choose between than good options, when all you've got is #### options, it's easy!

I have a line on an outfitter that claims to specialize them. They won't tell me more with out a non refundable deposit. Have you had any better leads?
Not a member of the Society of Misguided Adventurers, I'm not sure if I'm eligible for entrance yet. What are the current standards.

I have read my post 3 times and my English grammar is perfect and does not in fact imply I have a unicorn nor an Irish stag..........you illiterate bunch need to learn how to read.:p:p Even if I did I wouldn't tell you guys about it or my Panda.........Those 2 were easy, it's the damn Emperor penguin that is driving me crazy, the logistics are a nightmare............

Where they live there are no licenses or tags, you just have to buy your way in and out and pay a royalty on the trophy, very much like the Congo, but it's not the Congo. I can't tell you where they are, except at SOMA gatherings where everyone is required to get so drunk they can't remember a thing...............
And no the Penguin is not enough cartridge for unicorns, you must kill them stone dead where you see them or they fly away and you never find them. Ever try following a blood trail from a flying horse doing 50+ mph. Or they die in flight and fall and break the horn off and really mess up the cape skidding to a halt from 2000 ft up and doing nearly 100 mph on impact..........it is not easy harvesting a unicorn. It is also totally illegal to shoot at them after they lift off, absolutely must have at least 2 hooves on the ground...............

And the story I wuzz told izz ya gotta git yer arse thru the sea-krit passage.
Can yew still fit threw that kubbie whole now Mr. Douglas?

What kinda range you get with that sling wing............she's a long hop from Patagonia to the Antarctic...........Might need floats and some Gerry cans, stop halfway and refuel.

I was thinking more along the lines we'd commandeer one of the HNZ / Kiwi 500's stationed on the antarctic coast, couple acquaintances have flown there and would be happy to supply fuel cache coordinates and all that. Given we'd be armed, and nobody would see that coming, it could prove very becoming of SOMA and rather sporting.

What do you suppose breaking 1/2 dozen or so international laws and armed hijacking a helicopter might net us in years, as wards of the state, and who's jail do you suppose they would throw us in ? I'm not too worried but you are young and kinda pretty...............might not go so well for you..........I suspect you may have some stories you may not want to divulge at the future SOMA gatherings......:eek:;);)

Kinda pretty............. Laugh2..........

I just got passport photos dun today.
Fruck.......a facia only a mah could love.......... Ollie Mollie........f:P:2:

I'd safe in the ward.......

Incarceration in a foreign state was one of the original SOMA notable adventures, making close friends during that incarceration well... that is to be avoided, but won't get you kicked out. Just don't talk about it. I'm good to roll the dice, still strong enough to hold off the darker sides of the Shawshank Redemption. Suppose it all depends how long we're there.
