6.5 Creedmoor factory hornady 129sst. Absolutely destroys them. Only once did I get a no exit, shot it in the mouth when it sat down at 120yds facing me. Now I'm loading up and going to try my 6mm rem with 55gr nosler bt. Going to try it going max speeds and loaded down to 22-250 speeds.

I too use the 55gr SPSX in my 22-250s with good results on coyotes, but I use the 35gr Bergers in my 204s with excellent result.

50 gr vmax in 22-250 have to be carefull about shot placement. Anything but behind the shoulder and the bullet splashes.
40gr nosler bt in 222 once again careful on placement. 40gr berger match varmint is more forgiving on placement 2 small holes one in one out.

I load mine with 40gr of H-380, so around 3600 fps. They are designed for the 222 but I have no problems with them. Lots of single hole kills on coyotes.

I load mine with IMR 3031 around the 3600fps and have never had a problem with them. I have not used the 22-250 for coyotes in a few years but my dad still shoots the odd one with this load and he is still very satisfied with it. I find the 40gr Berger is more accurate in my 222 and it preformed very well on the few coyotes I have shot with it.

Check your local hutterite colonies. Many of them are buying whole coyotes.

I would think if you hit him with a spear or arrow at that distance would have similar results?..what exactly does this have to do with bullets not hard on the hides of coyotes?..lol

Partition is a nice stout bullet so it penetrates for big game. I am just Che...frugal and would like a idea for a less expensive stout bullet for the 25-06. My experience with both the 25-06 and 22-250 is that so called "varmit" bullets are rodent bullets and ruin a lot of hides on predators.

55g nosler varmegeton in .243, 50 to 200 yards never exit. 50g vmax in .223 works well just down load them to 2500 fps

For folks using the .17 Remington , throttle back a bit when using the Hornady 25gr. HP. Load the bugger to 3500 fps. and take the critter inside 250 yds. No worries on contact explosion & shatters the heart nicely.

Speer 1035 bullets (50 gr HP). Fairly thick jacket and a huge hollow point. Loaded to about 3700 FPS in a 22-250. I load if for a friend who is a trapper, private animal control officer and coyote shooter of opportunity. He takes about 80 coyotes a year with it as well as three bucks in the last few years. My friend doesn't want any other bullet.
