Are you a powder HOARDER? Am I? Is your buddy?

I am new to reloading, I can't find any powder to even think about hoarding.

I feel your pain..

I buy it when I see it. I use the old timers like IMR3031 and IMR4895. Most of the hipsters leave them alone. I usually buy a pound every month or so as my budget allows.

Right now the store I go to has had about 12 pounds of Varget sitting in their display case for a couple months. Guess this "shortage" is all relative

Not a hoarder, never had to be, but always prepare to have enough on hand to get by.
Things might change once Obama is out of office.

Sorry man. The RE22 is for a whole season of PR matches , you know 300 win mag eats a lot of powder.

I had an insurance company decline coverage once I revealed I had "propellants" in my home.I checked with my current home insurance and was good to go.Should never assume you are covered.Just a little FYI.

Take them back to the powder store for my deposit. I haven't figured it out yet. It was my intention to buy 8lbers and fill the 1lbers but that isn't going to happen any time soon.

Have no choice when you live down here. Have always kept a good supply as does the guys I know that reload
So far all I have seen here is a bunch of puppies with their stock
Not a hoarder IMO when you can still legally stock what you have in your home

I have used powder that was over 30 years old, and I know people that are still using powder that is over 50 years old. As long as it is stored in a cool dry place, it can last a very long time.

I started reloading 2 months ago, at first it was difficult to find powder. Now it's getting easier, I just got 8 lbs CFE 223, 3 lbs CFE pistol , 2 bottles of trail boss . I'll likely get the same amount next month, cause you never know when your gonna need it.

If I see some of the powder I use, I grab it, especially if local. Shipping kills. I am sitting pretty at about 30lbs of my common used powders and I will admit I have some powder for cartridges I plan on picking up in the near future.
