Hey Guys,

Hoping some of you can post some pics of your CC's accessorized. Looking for some ideas to add a vertical grip, light and some ambi controls (being lefty).

Also, are most of you running the standard stock and grip or have any changed out for Magpul, BCM, etc.

I am considering swapping out the hand guard for a more current rail system. I saw some recommendations in that thread that a KAC RAS and Surefire are compatible. Is that still the case for the 20" barrel?

I'd love to get some recommendations on rail suggestions for the SA 20. Assume cost is not a factor, what would you guys get?

If you are building a clone of a C7 (SA15.7) or C8 (SA20):

Verticle grip: Cadex folding vertical grip
Weaponlight: Insight M3X Tactical Illuminator (Black)
Ambidextrous Safety Selector Switch: Norgon Ambi-Catch
Grip: Standard A2 (OD Green)
Rail Systems: Knights Armament Company RAS M4 (C8) / RAS M5 (C7)

With these parts, you will have an almost identical clone. If you have no interest in building a clone then just add whatever you think is cool.

I'm not looking to build a clone, just trying to tweak it slightly for comfort. I typically run a vertical grip which is what lead me to consider a new rail system. If I were to keep the issued hand guard is it as simple as installing a rail segment at 6 o'clock? Will any rail segment work or does it need to be designed for the Colt hand guard?

The vertical grip is important to me, a light is not very important, my goal is to keep it as lightweight as possible and don't want to add a triad so the light would be off the list if I keep the hand guard.

Well, Magpul makes the MOE. To which you can bolt on rail sections, and run either a magpul or bcm vg. The reviews on our cadex vg isn't very positive.
 
I'm going full C7A2 with new gen C79, Cadex vert grip and Norgon ambition mag catch. I'm just sourcing the legit off colour OD armour from Armament technologies and ambi catch from my next Brownells order. I know that issued kit isn't top notch but I want the closest thing to the work gun as possible...Now if I could get "sponsorship" on ammo
the issue grip will mount to any standard rail

What if I keep the colt Hand guard, will the Magpul rail segment work on it? If not, what rail segments will work?

For those pondering how the complete upper and lower should look....

The Colt Canada Danish Military GV m/10 contract. Rumored 5000 made. Likely where the IUR over run comes from.

The upper is equipped with a Magpul AFG and ARMS folding sights. Looks pretty good.
 
If I bought a 15.7" IUR will it fit on a Diemaco SA 15.7 lower? Also, what could I expect to get on the EE for the upper from Korth?
