I'm not going to say much, I'll just let the pictures talk.

this happened at around 200 rounds. the Forward Assist flew off somewhere. NEA sent me another one.

this happened at around 600 rounds. the bolt broke in half. NEA sent me another bolt which has 4 gas rings and they are already cracked.

now this happened today after a whole bunch of failure to feed. I tried 15 different mags and they all did the same thing. The trigger also kept going full nuts on me bursting 3,4 rounds at a time and a jam. ---->

ohh BTW the rifle hasn't even reached 1k yet.

I contacted NEA regarding the last issue and demanded my money back or a new rifle with upgraded parts "still believing in them" but they simply said " Who did you buy it from? Send it back "
now I contacted the dealer and awaiting for an answer.
this is just a friendly warning to who ever that is considering an NEA product STAY AWAY. I didn't listen to my friends and decided to buy their product anyways because it was Canadian made. my Chinese AR has 8k through it and never broke on me.
please keep this thread civil. I don't want it locked.

2/25/2015 So after emailing back and forth with NEA and the dealer, NEA is just going to send me a new muzzle device. I will keep everyone up to date once I get the rifle back out on the range

2/27/2015 see post #204 As stated Ryan is replacing my rifle for a new one
03/07/2015 NEA is going to send me one of their new stocks for free.
03/15/2015 The rifle is on its way. Should be here in couple of days. Another reason to hit the range. I will report back

03/18/2015 Hollllyy Smokesss. what a differenceeeeee. I am speechless. the quality on their gen 2 is wayyyyyyy better. no wonder there are 2 groups here, one that hates them (gen 1) one that loves them (gen2). I will take quality photos with my camera for everyone to see the difference. first noticeable difference is the finish. its not charcoal, its black. the upper has a bit of a gap but no wobbling and the rear take down pin comes out smoothly. The machining is perfect, no etches or weird lines. the action is not as smooth as my colt 6920 first when i got it but i believe it needs break in and should be fine. I gotta say NEA did improve their rifles. NOW the Million dollar question? WILL IT WORK, for that i will keep track of every range/ammo brand, count and will update as we go.

NEW RIFLE PICTURES AT PAGE 27

03/20/2015 guys I took it out today. Fired 250 rounds through it successfully without a hickup.

They have fixed every other issue so far and sounds like they will fix this one too, even the biggest companies have the odd bad one. I know of a lot of NEA owners out there who are happy and haven't had issues. Seems like a bad apple to me.

I still don't understand why people spend their hard earned money on this junk, thread after thread of NEA failures and people still don't get it.

When there's this many bad apple's there is something wrong with the orchard.

Your gun was burst firing and you keep on going?

What do you mean by cracked gas rings?

What ammo?
as you can see in the picture i have a Geissele Super Dynamic 3 Gun (SD-3G) Trigger installed. I had that trigger on a another rifle it was fine and had no issues with it, first time it burst fired I separated the lower and inspected the trigger group everything looked fine. assembled it and fired again and it was fine until a jam and then again it burst fired and a jam. the reason I kept firing it was to figure out the problem so it happened 4 times and i stopped. the reason i swapped the original trigger was because of the same issue burst firing.

the gap between the rings were small 1mm when i first got the bolt but now they are about 3mm wider or just missing that 2mm

I was firing mix rounds. AE .223 and Norc 5.56.

I'm pretty sure you will get this repaired without issue through your dealer. Still very frustrating for sure to have to go through the return process with a restricted firearm! How long have you owned this rifle? Certainly appears a new rifle will be needed.
