Who bought a S&W SD9 VE, 4.25", $350 compact 9mm pistol?

All the kits are gone. I got the last three and gave them to first three requests at my cost. I will post again when they come back in stock at local shop after Christmas if ppl still need some.

Do they have or are they going to get the Enhanced Trigger as well?

Smooth face trigger with a solid body to produce a more comfortable trigger face for the shooter’s finger.
Reduced trigger pre-travel by 20%
Reduced trigger over travel by 10%
Reduced trigger pull weight by 10-15%

I did not see the trigger there. I go there all the time since it's between my office and clients. If they have it I can buy it and let you know.

Thanks, that would be awesome. The shorter travel trigger would be even better on this pistol.

This from Smith's website, regarding the trigger...8lbs!

They don't say that it has tons of creep, long as hell and the break is spongy. Worst I've ever used, hope the spring kit lightens it up to an acceptable level. Another shooter at the range and the salesperson both said it was "bad, even for S&W", (figured they were talking about the M&P, there's a trigger kit for it as well).

I got my spring kit yesterday and already installed it . It's slightly better but I was hoping for something closer to my glock trigger .
Undecided at the moment if I'll be taking her to the range and shooting it or putting it on EE unfired .
Still belive it's a great pistol for the $300 mark with the 2 strong pros being made by smith & wesson and a nice build quality .

-- a big THANK YOU going out to int3grity for getting a spring kit out to me and for doing this for the CGN community

I went to the range yesterday and shots mine with the new spring kit for the first time. It makes a significant difference in my opinion and I am quite happy with this gun for the price. The weight of the trigger has been reduced a good deal but the travel is still long.

Liking my new Sig SP2022, 4.5 lb SA trigger, 10 lb with clean break in DA. The grip and mag w/pinky lip fits excellent and feels better than the S&W's. It's a tiny bit bigger and heavier than the SD9, going to take them both to the range and see which I like best (I'm a Sig guy and I already know which one :) )

I bought into the sd.40ve....hitting the range on saturday, the frame really weighs nothing....but the slide is of decent quality...the famous trigger isn't as bad as I expected, may do some tuning, but we'll see after the range...grip angle is good, not as textured as I'd like, mags are decent quality and x2 which is not as common as I'd like...lol...will post rr over the weekend, but for now, I'm reasonably happy with it...

at this price, i'd expect for a bazillion of these pistols to hit the market over time. The aftermarket parts should come after that, and at an affordable rate if the gun sells in S&W type quantities. From all accounts though, this pistol will take some money to sort out the trigger situation that will bring the price closer to other offerings that might be superior.

Sold mine. Couldn't get used to the trigger. Shot like a dynamo with my new Sig SP2022 (used to the Sig bore axis, ergonomics and excellent trigger) right out of the box. It was an easy decision, the stiff, long and spongy trigger was throwing off my performance and the superiority of the 2022 made me not even think of installing the trigger kit.

Someone else will have fun with it, as it's a great bang for the buck pistol - just not a good fit for me.

I got my spring kit from Amazon.ca - $65 for 3 small springs... A little annoying. I don't mind getting screwed a little, but that's above and beyond.

I love this gun, but the stock trigger is terrible. It's almost unshootable as-is. I thought the stock M&P trigger was bad, but this makes that one feel fantastic by comparison.

I bought the Apex trigger and Apex spring kit - now it's a brilliant little gun. (As an aside - the spring kit was such a PIA to install I never installed the new trigger.)

The enhanced trigger has some mediocre reviews on Brownells as it needs fitting, so just be warned if anyone tries to install it.

Trigger job is mandatory on this pistol.

What are the biggest differences between the SD9 and the M&P?
I thought the SD9 was the bargain priced Sigma that was so popular in the states.

SD9 is an updated pistol based on the Sigma series, from what I read. They made it better apparently, except for the trigger.
