They are a lot of rifle for the money, as Ardent said. I love my 416 Rigby and the only way I could be convinced to part with it was if I was replacing it with a pedigreed vintage rifle in the same chambering. No "416 Pretender" for me thank you, there is only one. $2K is a good price for one and I believe that the Lott was only chambered for a few years. Original lineup was the Holland and the Rigby. Later on they added the Lott. I saw one in a magazine that Hamilton Bowen opened up to the 505 Gibbs which would have been a real beauty. They have lots of weight for magnum chamberings and, if we're being fair, too much weight for the Holland. But they're built well with the right features and they will perform quite well, even when you stretch them out. I shot my Springbok at a lasered 287 meters with my Rigby and, predictably, it was bang-flop city. Held just under his chin and straight-lined through him, bow to stern.
