Ruger AR556 coming to Canada?

adcor makes a kit I believe. Although why not buy a piston gun to start with?

I may, just buy a piston gun or just do or get DI and put the kit in it. Because what I have read ( don't know if it is 100% true) If you do the kit the weight is better balanced. But myself I am a piston striker fire kind of guy.

I'm dating myself ....

You obviously don't recall the "I Love Lucy" TV series with Lucille Ball and her Cuban hubby Desi Arnez. He'd get into a jam and say "Lucy, I can 'splain ...". She's mock him saying - "OK, 'splain ..."

It became part of the lexicography.

Lol, ya. Never really watched I love Lucy. Now "all in the family",or married with children. Then we're talking.

If you wouldn't mind. I would appreciate the info.

I have had my 556E since March 2014. It was $1176 all in at Ellwood Epps. I've put about 3,000 through it and have not had any problems. The finish is excellent and the look of the piston handguard is to my taste. I used it at a TDSA rifle course last year and it ate everything out of every magazine. It's true that there is a lot of weight up front but I am accustomed to it due to shooting the XCR and Swiss Arms for years.

Pros:
Value
Quality of the finish
Quality of the handguard
Reliable
Accurate
Gun runs cleanly
BCG and Piston are extremely easy to clean

Complaints:
The handguard can heat up quite a bit, which I eventually alleviated by installing rails at 3 and 9 o'clock to improve heat dissipation and distance my hand from the handguard

It's a solid gun. I haven't had to run it on anything other than the primary gas setting.

Good to know these things run like champs. Unfortunately this thread is for the new DI version of the rifle.

Reading the meat of the thread, you'll see questions were raised about Ruger's piston AR and by extension their ability to produce a quality rifle. Hopefully my experiences are of some help to those that wanted to know about the piston gun and give an indicator of the quality of their DI gun.
