Finn M91 barrel bulge

Theres a big difference between a bulge and being counter bored... I'd ask insist he take it back, I know I wouldn't want to buy a gun like that.

Here's the thing. The counterbore actually does correct the bulged part from a shooting perspective. The counterbore was obviously done just beyond the bulge for just that purpose, and the rifle shoots way beyond what I expected. However, I definitely overpaid, and like I said I never would have bought it had I known about the bulge.

I emailed the seller and he said he did yell me.it was counterbored. I knew right away things would not progress well lol. I emailed him asking if he'd be interested in refunding some of my money, but haven't received a reply.

Counter bore and bulge is 2 different things.

See if you can find another barrel and Negitive feedback. Hes cannot retaliate.

If the counterbore extends past the bulge you are good to shoot it. If he won't take it back a few guys including me are always looking for parts. Might make a good vkt dragoon.

OP I feel your pain.

First gun I ever bought on the EE (a turk mauser) came to me with a huge buldge in the barrel in the same spot. Seller genuinely did not know about it and was straight up.

But I liked the rifle so I did the right thing and bought a 36x6 colchester master lathe and counterbored it myself. Gun shot a 1.1" 4 shot group with 3 in .66" last weekend.

Holy moly, I'd say bulge! If the seller don't take that back, give ya a full refund, and pay all shipping costs, well my friend, we all know what type of human he is. Wishing you luck. By the way, if things don't work out, tell us who the seller is will ya, it'll probably save someone else some grief. Good luck again.

Wow, hard to miss that bulge when posting an ad as a seller, I don't think he/she can claim ignorance on this one. I'm glad she shoots okay though.

On a side note, I did purchase a gew 98 a few years ago that has a distinctive muzzle bulge right near the end of the barrel. It was described and photographed and priced accordingly. I haven't shot her yet but she is a vet bring back with other battle scars as well.
