Still waiting for it to change and they said they did not have to talk to me. Hope the scanner operator did not suffer from a case of scanner finger overload.

Well that sucks for me, guess I better start hounding them and find out why it takes so long to scan... Mine was in scanning process yesterday.. No update today.. Sucks so bad!

Called them today - still processing.

Damn - I near brought the 45 day average to the floor!

My application was received at Miramichi on Monday (March 2). I am probably just being over eager, but I get an error when checking the RCMP site (Error1. About my information not matching anything they have). I assume this is just because it has not been processed yet, but am wondering if that error (Error 1) is the common response for unprocessed applications. How soon should I call them after they received the application to make sure there are no errors/missing information? I'm thinking at least another week and see if it shows up online?

Give it some time. It's supposed to take 28 days (4 weeks) at minimum before it shows up online. However, some people get lucky and it shows up in about 3 weeks. Just be patient.

2 kids with common law wife for 5 years. Really no reason to delay anything. It's at the CFO's office and that's where it's been for 2 months now!! I didn't phone this week, but I'll be phoning next week looking for answers.

WTF man that's just not right. Seems like no accountability over there. At least they can take the courtesy and communicate with you of what the issue is instead of keeping you in the dark like that.

Yeah, thats odd. Only diff between you and I is that I am married for 5 years....2 kids. Mine took 70 days.

I have phoned into the CFO's office several times and keep getting a "just wait longer, this takes time" type of response. Apparently it takes 2 months to do a background check for a clean record?!! I may ask to speak directly to the CFO next week.

Oh damn, my bad. Saw apps showing up online anywhere from 1-3 weeks so was worried that Error 1 message was pointing towards a problem with my application. I am being way too over eager! I just got back from Vegas and won a decent amount, so my mind has been running wild with what to purchase when things come in (which isn't helping my patience at all). I need to somehow not spend this cash on something stupid like bills (jk). Think I'll just sit back and try to not think about it for another few weeks! Thanks Fobwall.

I had my police certificate issued in 15 min for my job . What exactly is a background check?
