Hey guys,

I'm interested in purchasing a WW2 nazi gun with an original swastika engraving for my collection, for the lowest possible price, that must fire. What guns should I be looking at? How much would it cost me? Preferably something non-restricted.

Thanks!

Typically German firearms are quite expensive... or at least the collectible types are. One of the only firearms I can think of that will fit your criteria would be a Russian captured K98. Some have peened markings, other have the markings intact. If you're patient you should be able to find one in the EE for around $500.

Also g/k43 were made mostly by Lubecker and walther, and they used the small type firing proof. So the swastika is barely visible anyways.

A good sold russian capture is the best route for the OP.
And if you want truly german get one from a german factory.
Byf, ar, duv, bcd.

Basically a Russian Capture K98k (have to personally verify the markings are intact though), or a sporterized K98k (which are becoming very difficult to find). A RC K98k will likely run you somewhere between 400-600$ (dealers are selling them for around 600$+).

Thanks for all the replies! I guess the best option would be a K98, reading all your replies. Eventually I would love to have a Luger pistol as well (not sure if that has a swastika on it, and as I can see the WW2 lugars cost thousands of dollars).

Just to emphasize that the only swastikas on a 'nazi' gun are part of the waffenampt acceptance stamps - not engravings - and are, if clear enough to be visible, about 2.5 - 3mm across at most. If you are looking for a huge swastika stamped on the receiver or action of the gun to identify it as a 'nazi' firearm you'd best be looking in 'Whammo' comics.

Your best bet it to try and find something at auction . If I had to guess I would say the cheapest german gun would be a 1922 browning.if you can find one in .380 they are restricted.

Sorry for OT, but I could not resist!

Don't think a Waffenampt marked K98 in good condition is going to be cheap.
It's Luger and except for the Artillery models(mostly not military firearms after W.W. I), they're prohibited. Make you go blind.
Go here for some history. Add the W's. .lugerlp08.com/fsite03.htm
