MD Charlton ... I own several Sigs ... pistols and an AR.

There are two main reasons people shop across the line ... one can be price but for me the big one is selection ... and the availability of that selection.

You mention that you have a large inventory of parts. Two months ago I ordered a simple parts kit for my P226 ... I was told max 10 days and it would be shipped ... this is from a brick and mortar store that apparently is therefore on your approved dealers list.

Even after prompting the dealer a couple of times they are apparently still waiting for the parts kit ... 2 months now and I still have no parts kit.

I did the very same thing when I needed a hammer reset spring ... you guessed it ... still waiting.

So ... what did I do? I gave up the other day and bought both from Brownells ... they are on their way ... you can't say I didn't try to support our Canadian dealers.

As you say, you are dealing with the poor practices of your predecessors and are trying to clean up the Sig network and I really hope you can do that ... because right now I for one cannot get even the most simple things ...

Thanks for kick starting this discussion.

MD worked hard to get Sig to send parts for my subcal kit. MD is good and will do their best, Sig support to their dealers outside of the US is very so so

Didn't read all the pages, but, MD Charlton will still work/repair all SIG's... Just might not be on warranty.

Good enough and thanks for posting :)
I had MD Charlton work on a S&W revolver and was happy with work/turn around time.

Sigs... I have 1 with warranty and 1 gray market without (hopefully never need to use it).

Cheers~

So when I hit the link on Page one of this thread I get a 404 error indicating that the server cannot find the URL for the registration. Anyone else have this problem?

I hopped over to the MD Charlton website and found the page to register my Legion on, but I cannot locate the page to register my other Sigs. So is the main registration page down?

I didn't see wild west on your authorized dealer list. Are they going to be added soon or are they not authorized?
Saw a Sig on the site I am interested in but wanted to make an informed decision.
Thanks in advance,

I guess it would have been too difficult to just go to the main page and find the "find a dealer" link that isn't from 6 months ago.

Hello CGN,

We wish to provide warranty information to the buying public for Sig in Canada. As the Sole Source of Import for Sig, we are the only approved importer for Sig product. We are also the warranty/service center for Sig in Canada. With a total of six (6) Sig Certified Factory Armourers on staff, one of which is fully Certified Sig Custom Shop, we are able to perform most all services and repairs in Canada. This means the end user does not have to wait for their firearm(s) to be sent to the US; and the potential lengthy wait for its return.

There are grey-market dealers claiming to buy direct from the factory (which is not true). These dealers are also miss-leading their customers in that the product is supplied with a full warranty – this is also false.

We believe that many buyers have made a purchase decision based on false advertising; which they should not be punished for. Due to this, we are offering a warranty amnesty on all Sig product purchased from any retailer up to December 14th, 2014. After this date, if you purchase from any dealer that is not approved to sell Sig, you are on your own for warranty. You do not have to register before the 14th, you simply have to have purchased prior to this date.

We are the fourth (and remaining) Distributor for Sig in Canada: R Nicholls/FN Sports, European Arms, Vault Distribution, and MD Charlton. We are the only remaining Sig distributor. Warranty coverage (where applicable) will be extended to any Sig product imported by any of the approved Distributors.

We have received many requests for clarification on the following dealers: Questar and Cabela's. Both companies are approved dealers, and are covered by Sig warranty.

For those that have purchased Sig product from an approved dealer, please feel free to register as well. The Sig USA site will not allow Canadians to register, so please use our site.

Please keep any comments/questions relevant and constructive.

We are happy to answer any questions you may have.

Regards,
MDC

Hi MD Charlton, the link no longer works. I just ran across this thread and have purchased two Sig firearms (unknowingly) from an unapproved dealer here in Ontario. Am I still able to get my firearms on your warranty? They were bought back in 2013.
