SKS magazine release ... looking for your opinions

Hey Magwedge....i wouldnt mind putting an extended, as i have your kwik rail on my sks... i would say go with the aluminum to keep the price down, i dont mind dinging it up a little at the range, but price point for me would be key feature, and ease of install....interested none the less however it plays out good luck
 
I would personally prefer blued carbon steel to mach the rest of the rifle. Nitride finished steel would be my second choice, followed by black aluminum. I would not buy one in stainless, it would really look out of place on a blued steel or bbq paint rifle.
 
So far we have 4 in favour of a steel release and 4 in favour of aluminum .... more input needed folks!

I expect pricing will be $29.95 for aluminum and $39.95 for a steel part, so a $10 difference gets us a tough steel part.
That being said, I expect the aluminum can do the job just fine and the $10 can be spent on coffee, LOL.

I personally favour the steel part as it is consistent with the other metal parts of the rifle and with a nitride finish will be quite resistant to wear.

Haha, I hear you.

I have looked at this issue but not deeply. As of this time I have found no easy solution to this issue but as I kept getting requests for SKS accessories I have decided to go ahead with a run of the standard design, but extended.
 
I would buy whichever.
Btw Vz 58 mags are aluminium LOL! people these days....
Yes I know he's talking aboot a SKS mags but using aluminiuim isn't that bad, and should get the job done!
