CZ SP - Shadow - Orange - Canadian differences?

I got to shoot the Canadian edition when I had my pre-B model 75
Not that I like to stir the pot but I didn't want to tell the owner how much
nicer my pre-be shot in comparison for much less money.

As has been discussed in many threads the Canadian Shadowmate and the Orange are much much more tightly fitted and gone over with more and detail than a regular Shadow. As well the mate comes with flush safeties and competition hammer. Those are worth it alone.

Rob that may be true but if there is any practical value to those features I fail to see it. I own the 75 Shadowline and it has the features you speak of. Is it tighter than my old Shadow I owned or my CZ85 Combat.....nope; CZ's are very tight guns no matter the model. The gun has the competition hammer or at least the latest version of it. My 85 Combat Ken Soucie applied his magic to has the older version of the competition hammer. The Combat has a better trigger than the 75 Shadpwline afterKen applied his magic.
What difference the features you describe make are really quite lost on me. Sorry but neither version you speak of brings anything to the table that has any practical value to 99% of the shooters who read this forum. I bought my 75 Shadowline because I could and wanted the shorter dust dust cover. I took the thin grips off it and acquired the older fatter rubber grips which are much more tackier than the thin aluminum grips ( Black in my guns case not Orange) and the rubber grips fiit my hands better - my trigger finger sits on the trigger without any effort by myself.

I realize gun fitting and features are very personal items and what appeals to one may not appeal to all but if we are talking about practical features that impact performance $400 spent on ammunition will do most shooters more good coming out of CZ Shadow (If that is the design of choice) than orange or engraved grips and a lighter hammer IMHO. Good on CZ to put a Maple Leaf on a pair of grips but really.....

Now if I put together another $1,300 I want the New Edition stainless. Now that has to be the ###iest CZ ever made. It probably needs a trigger job out of the box but never mind I want one. Just the look should make me a better shooter.

Take Care

Bob
