My indoor range won't let me shoot these. They fail the "magnet" test. Kind of defeats the purpose for which I bought a case of 1000 rnds. Looks like I'm freezing my ass off till the warm weather
It is good stuff. If you think the bullets are going to reliably mushroom - well, they aren't. They are steel jacket. They tumble quite respectbly, and they deform on impact, but mushroom? Nope. Perhaps occasionally at best.
Come out west. One of our indoor ranges has no restrictions on ammo under 50BMG, and it's 18 degrees out today.
