So my first AR is almost complete.
Only thing missing is a white light, i already know where i will put it and i know it will not be a tlr-1 at 12 o clock, this setup doesn't work for me.
I'd like a small sized light around 3.5 or 4 inch long with a momentarily on only tailcap switch (clicky) that gives at least 120 lumens. it will be at 11 o clock on a troy alpha rail but i don't want to use the extra rails that come with it, i want a mount that can be mounted on the top rail, i was thinking maybe a magpul mount.
i'd also like a setup that will allow me to keep my hand in about the same position on the rail as it is now, the mount would be in front or behind the front sight wich will move if needed. for now it is used as kind of a handstop or reference point (as well as a front sight obviously):
The light can't be too long or else it will be too far in front of the muzzle or too far back for me to activate. the inforce wml is interesting, i also looked at the fenix pd22 because of it's size but the tailcap is not momentarily only. Any suggestions are welcome for a light/mount combo.
