For the people who complain about it being restricted;
Do you live on a farm where you can safely shoot 50-BMG in the backyard?

I'm curious as to where people would like to shoot this caliber rifle, outside of a designated range.

Nice assumption. I take it you haven't actually researched the subject of shooting 50bmg on crown land.

If i were in the market for a 50 cal, i don't think i would scrimp and go cheap and or not fully tested EXTENSIVELY.
I am rather sure this DA upper is nice and safe and all, but this video freaked me out a bit too much

From reading the comments he was firing 50 BMG Ammo in a gun chambered for 12.7x108

And actually if you already got a ar 15 this thing is kinda semi non restricted, if you only have the upper its not registered. But yeah its range bound... again in nb so doesn't change anything for me.

I don't know why people automatically assume a .50 Bmg is the hardest thing ever to make safe. Just because it's the bigger cartridge doesn't mean it's more pressure.

A .50 bmg is ~54,800 psi
A .338 lm is ~60,900 psi

Generalized max pressures. Size doesn't automatically mean failures.
