NEA Issues *WARNING*

I can't speak to how many QC issues RA has. I've read their president has said if you're rude to their customer service (which is entirely subject what rude constitutes) then you're being put on the back burner.

I know all the positive praise a company may have means #### if you're the one getting boned or jerked around.

Posts like these are good for a number of reasons. People see how stand up SFRC (or whoever) is. Also when people actually DO bother to read weapon/company reviews and threads like this pop up they have no exucse for not knowing what they are getting into.

I sent in a couple pics of my gen 1 front rail as it has small cracks just in the finish of the metal near the fugly side mounting bolts.
The cracks have always been there and haven't got any worse .Today ...just three days later I had a new gen 2 front rail and barrel nut delivered free of charge.
The new rail has a couple improvements to it. New design of front side rails , new barrel clamping system and more holes in the side of the rail.
Also it is a little darker in color than my original one.

I have had no issues at all with my rifle other than that and I am very happy with the fast replies and customer service from them .

Pics of the 1st gen side mounting bolts that have the fine cracks just in the finish .

next question.....Is there anyone nearby locally who has a barrel wrench and can change out the front rail for me ? :)

These cracks show that they are very weak in engineering. Looks like designed by a high school student.

It is very disconcerting that NEA does sell some of their offerings overseas, albeit in likely limited quantities to "serious shooters or Professionals" who tempted by the low comparable price opted for them in blind error.

Those may in fact end up in the hands of persons whose lives might be dependent on the quality/reliability of the weapon.

necroing this up....

What scary is NEA has an affiliate private security company that its operators are provided NEA rifles.....

SfRC got the rifle on Thursday. Im assuming their closed today so hopefully they get it all together tomorrow and ship her out. Ive been waiting for so long.

thanks for this thread, after weeks of googling reviews on NEA rifles and seeing nothing but positives I went ahead and made the purchase... after a bit of screwing around they finally got a rifle to me....

OUT OF THE BOX ... I couldn't get an MBUS front sight onto the rail because it was larger than it was supposed to be which was fixed with a LOT of hammering.... gave it a second chance as I didn't plan on putting much more on the rail. Got it to the range today to try it out ... of the 100 (very patient) rounds I put into it trying to zero it in... MAYBE 5 of them fed a proper follow up round without jamming it or outright just not picking the round up. Multiple mags were tried with no luck, took my bolt carrier apart and reassembled in hopes something was just wonky. Still no dice.

I was debating just having them fix what needed to be fixed and returning it but after reading this i'm gonna save myself the headache and go spend the extra couple hundred bucks and buy something reputable.... for what it matters, this is a gen 2.

Just send it back for a refund. There are plenty of good AR's around.
