Shorten PAL Approval Times

Anyone ever take their courses at ready aim fire in oakville? The owner Tony (who never answers his phone or returns messages for days to weeks on end) said he would be sending us our stamped test results in the mail within 3-4 weeks. It's now been well over a month and still haven't received anything. I tried calling him today but of course no answer. I'd like to mail them in to get the ball rolling on my lisence. How long have some of you waited to get your results back?

Chris

I got mine back in 4 weeks, but the instructor sent them to the CFO the day after we did the courses. Send your app in without the results and get the ball rolling and the 28 day waiting period starts as soon as they receive it. Fax your results in once you get your application number from the CFP

Ya I mailed my app in over a month ago. They already have it and the 28 days is counting down. I just need my test results and this guy never picks up his phone.

Chris

Once the instructor sends it to the CFO it is out of their hands. It took just over a month to get my slip back from the CFO.

I actually somehow ended up patched through to the CFO's office right off the bat, and the lady told me check back on Monday (if it isn't issued before then).

Wow, guess what showed up in the mail today right after I posted about it, my test results. Gezz it's like right after I talk or ask about something that's when I get it. So do I have to mail in the originals to them now or can I just fax it?

Chris

You can fax in a copy of each with your application number on the top of each sheet, call them for the fax #

Nothing is speedy with these guys lol but yah from here your looking at a week until referenced can call in and two weeks after that until issued.

Well I just need my PAL number to pick up my new toys. I can wait for the actual card to come in.

Chris

I am fairly certain in order to have the guns in your posession you need to have the physical card?

Guy I purchased from said he just needs my PAL number once I get it and he will ship them to me. Unless I misunderstood something?

Chris

If you buy them online, no need for the card. Some of the sellers only need your PAL number, others like Cabela's need the PAL number and expiry date (would be same as your birthday). But if you buy guns and ammo in person, the physical card is necessary.
